Tuna
Recipes very loosely based on the Tuna Battle
between Iron Chef Masahiko Kobe and
Challenger Shinya Tasaki, master wine taster.
Warning: there’s wine in every one of these dishes.
Don’t drink too much while you are cooking or it might blur
your vision and affect your coordination, making it hard to draw.
Challenger Shinya Tasaki offered five dishes:
1. Tuna Steak Tartare with Crystal '90 Champagne
2.Tuna on Rice with Riesling ’90 (white)
3. Tuna Stewed in Red Wine, Chateau Montus ’92 (red)
4. Grilled Tuna, Margues de Murrieta ’68 (red)
5. Tuna Dessert Cassis Flavor, Pineau des Charentes (sweet cognac)
Iron Chef Masahiko Kobe offered four dishes:
1. Tuna Sandwiched in Eggplant, marinated in Cinzano
Challenger Tasaki won!
