Battle Sushi – Keiji Nakazawa vs. Masaharu Morimoto
U.S. Air Date: 6/10/01
Challenger Nakazawa's Dishes:
1. Edo style shad sushi
Chef Nakazawa cleaned and trimmed the shad.
The dish was described as pungent and strong.
Wooden Chef's version:
Tuna boiled in soy sauce
Drain a can of tuna. Put it in a glass bowl. Pour soy sauce generously over the tuna. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap so you won’t have to clean up a big mess in the microwave. Poke a hole in the middle of the plastic wrap. Microwave 1 minute on high. Put a big spoonful on top of some previously cooked rice. Add a piece of Romaine leaf for presentation.
