Iron Chef Hiroyuki Sakai's First Dish
Quail Soup
Iron Chef Sakai made a broth of scallions,
egg whites, and salt and pepper. He put
dried scallops into cups with quail and
steamed the mixture. He then put the
processed scallop and quail mixture into
the soup.
Chicken Soup
4 cups of water
2 Telma® ˝oz. chicken consommé cubes
1 - 5 oz. can of Valley Fresh® Premium Chunk White Chicken
a little chopped green onion
cilantro, and tomato for garnish.
"Crumble cube in 2 cups boiling water, simmer for 5 minutes", Telma®.
Boil (or microwave) 4 cups of water and mix in the cubes. Add in the
can of chicken and green onion and stir for 5 minutes.
Serve in a nice white cup.
Serves 4.
