The first lobster dish inspired by Iron Chef
Hiroyuki Sakai's battle with Tadaaki Shimizu
Homard Lobster Peach Salad
Chef Sakai made a fruity sauce in a blender by mixing avocados,
papaya, and mangos. He crushed the meat out of the claws with a
cleaver. Then he put the fruit sauce, with peaches, on whole
lobster tails and broiled everything in the oven. He made balls out
of the lobster meat and peaches and covered them with fruit sauce
and olive oil. Chef Sakai topped off the dish with ground pepper
and added cilantro for garnish.
Wooden Chef's Version: Faux Lobster and Peaches
I mixed some steamed lobster pieces with some canned peach
slices and used the juice for sauce. I was in a hurry remember?
