be ten to twelve days before they can get to it.

I set up Elaine's computer to work
on the website.

Carrots
I, woodenchef.com am finally entering into management of the largest restaurant in the world.
You know, we've served Billions, the sacred Golden Arches adorn our pathway.
OK, I start at McDonalds tomorrow at 9.
I have two recipes from the cook along GUINEA chicken. I'll have to send them later.
Sakai used carrot
dressing on his GF salad ya know.
Several fans wished me well.

I went to orientation at McDonald's at 8:00 a.m. Elaine went to work at the Cleveland
Hopkins Airport office of the Federal Aviation Administration.
A little before 9:00 a.m. my boss said he heard something on the news about an
airplane hitting a building in New York. There was a television on downstairs.
We went to the basement and watched the terrible news.
About 10:30 Elaine came
in and told me there was an airplane sixty miles away
headed toward
Cleveland. The air traffic controllers in the Hopkins tower could hear
yelling and fighting on the cockpit. Elaine's boss had told her to go home.
The plane turned around and crashed in Pennsylvania.
Wednesday, September 12th, 2001
Neither of us had to go to work. We watched the news all day.
Thursday, September 13th, 2001
Elaine went in to the FAA office. The situation was very tense. There was a lot of yelling
in the conference room. All of the airports in the United States were closed.
I started working the grill at 11:00 a.m. on 49¢ cheeseburger day. I cooked about a
thousand hamburger patties the first hour I was there. They said I was really fast.
They asked me where I had cooked before. I told them I cooked at home. I told them
about Wooden Chef, but they didn't understand and I didn't feel like explaining.

Rerun of July 14th
Thursday, September 19th, 2001
I called the computer repair shop. They couldn't find anything wrong with it and
demonstrated it rebooting correctly four times. When I took it home and set it up
it still didn't work. I called the help line and a very nice, patient man figured out
that I had too much wattage plugged into my new surge protector which was in
one wall socket. I ran
another surge protector box from another socket and split
the load, then everything
worked. The new monster was probably the cause of
the circuit breaker
tripping.
People are saying
that we should all try to get back to normal, so I went to work
getting the website back into operation.

Battles !

Bamboo Shoots
Cooking Style:
Szechwan Chinese vs. Kyoto Style Japanese
Iron Chef: Chen Kenichi Challenger: Munetaka Takahashi of Ikumatsu Resaurant
Not exactly a great ingredient. The bamboo shoots were boiled for an hour before the battle
otherwise they would be too tough to eat. Takahashi only made three dishes, Chen-san beat
him with five dishes, including an artistic tortoise shell made of carved bamboo shoot.

Shell Clams (Big clams with only a small edible part)

Rerun. The Challenger didn't focus on the theme ingredient very well.
Chen beat him with his original clam soup.

Back to Normal, sort of
Well, I see everyone is getting back to normal, as close as Forum members can get.
As far as the news goes, Elaine's job at the FAA has been very interesting lately. They never were able to get the new air traffic computer network set up, remember that one. There is no money to completely rebuild the infrastructure of the airline system. There is lots of yelling in the teleconferencing room. As far as she knows, there was no Q33NY designation, sorry, someone made that up.
In other news, Woodenchef is back in operation. I could tell that people were looking because the hit counter started as soon as I got it working. New this time are Potatoes and Veal.
I like DJ's IC Tenn story, I can picture the Pork Shuttle making Hickory smoked Truffles.
