An Iron Chef Fans Diary, August, 2001

Main Ingredient: Pumpkin
Cooking Style: Italian
Iron Chef: Masahiko Kobe    Challenger: Kensuki Sakai
Sakai was operating a portable restaurant out of a wooden cart. I was really interested in the
way he would set up wooden folding tables and chairs around his cart to make an outdoor
restaurant. Wooden Cart, Wooden Chef, I bet this idea would work in Cleveland.
Kobe was very gracious, saying that he didn't have a restaurant of his own either.
I understand both chefs have their own restaurants now.
