                Chef Kiyoshi Takahashi's first carrot dish 

                 in the  battle with Iron Chef Chen Kenichi

              

             

                                                    Carrot and Caviar Salad

                                Chef Takahashi mixed julienned carrots with julienned

                                 truffles, then topped the dish with caviar. I think he

                                used a soy based dressing.

 

                                                                           Wooden Chef's version:             Carrot and Anchovy Salad
                                  I didn't have any caviar or truffles for Kiyoshi’s salad,

                                  so I stuck some anchovies and cilantro on top, then

                                  used Mr. Yoshida's® Cracked Pepper and Garlic Sauce

                                  as a dressing. OK, so the girls hate anchovies,

                                  "Papa, this fish has bones in it", but they tried it.

                                   I thought it was pretty good.
